Coffee & Conversation

This Friday, January 27
6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Java Brewing Company (1707 Bardstown Road)
Directions to Java

The World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana is starting an exciting new series of social events aimed at connecting our local community with current or emerging leaders around the world working in government, politics, the media, education, the arts, business and other key fields. These events are unique opportunities for our members to interact and learn about these diverse individuals and to get an international perspective on these important sectors of society.

To kick off this series, we will be hosting a Coffee & Conversation for a Dept of State- sponsored group that will be travelling the U.S. on the topic of Combating Human Trafficking.

More about the Delegation: The delegation is a multi-regional group made up of individuals whose professions involve combating and preventing human trafficking. They represent a variety of human rights NGOs and important government agencies from the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Maldives, Qatar and Sri Lanka. We hope that you will join us in welcoming them to Louisville!

More about the Event: This social event in a relaxed setting will give you the chance to get to know some of the interesting visitors who pass through Louisville via World Affairs Council programs. This meet & greet is free and open to WAC members as well as the general public. Coffee and a light snack will be provided to attendees. While the event is free, we ask that you please RSVP by sending an email to christy.rhodes@worldkentucky.org or calling (502) 561-5422 before end of day Thursday.
