About Global Economic Forum

A major focus of World Affairs Councils nationwide is the presentation in their communities of quality programs offering the general public the opportunity to participate in discussions of current international issues.

The World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana achieves this goal through the Global Issues Forum and its companion series the Global Economic Forum. The Global Economic Forum series was initiated in the summer of 2006 and is supported by a grant from Brown-Forman Corporation. It will feature periodic programs on international economic issues featuring well-known speakers on international business and economic topics. Global Economic Forum opened on June 14th 2006 with Robert David Steele, founder and CEO of OSS.Net, Inc.

The series brings to Kentucky and Southern Indiana internationally-known experts on current global economic issues. The first event in the series involved Robert David Steele, founder and CEO of OSS.Net, Inc. He is the foremost international proponent for the improved sharing of global information among legitimate governments and organizations.

The World Affairs Council is grateful for the support of Brown-Forman for this exciting series.
