WAC’s mission is “to promote cross-cultural awareness, education and tolerance through nonpartisan discussions on current international issues.” To better reflect our mission, and to better engage our community, we have updated our membership structure with added levels, annual benefits, and exclusive offerings. We hope these changes will maximize the value of membership in our council and will better connect our community to the world.
Our council offers a monthly speaker series, “The World @ Home,” which regularly features high-profile international leaders and experts on a variety of global topics. Most potential members are interested in this program. With this in mind, here are a few key points regarding membership in our council:
- Everyone who subscribes to receive our e-communications will be registered as a Network Member
- Free and discounted tickets to our monthly speaker series events are available for Student Backpacker, World Traveler and Global Leader members
- Exclusive opportunities will be available to our World Traveler and Global Leader members throughout the year
