The End of Epidemics

May 24 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

- $20 – $50

About this Event:

With Ebola, Zika virus, and Swine Flu, several epidemics have rocked the world in the past decade and captured public imagination, but so far none have made meaningful impacts on the US. Dr. Jonathan Quick thinks that is about to change. In his book The End of Epidemics, he explains that there is a 50% chance of a global pandemic in most of our lifetimes and why infectious disease is a greater security threat to our country than any war. Still, Dr. Quick believes that within 10 years the world could easily be on its way to eradicating epidemics forever.

Join us as Dr. Quick outlines why infectious diseases are such a potent threat to today’s society and the steps we can take to prevent them.

Copies of Dr. Quick’s recent book, The End of Epidemics: The Looming Threat to Humanity and How to Stop It, will be sold at the event.
