Make a Connection That Counts.

From international exchanges to home hospitality and events, the World Affairs Council can connect you with visitors from around the world without leaving Kentuckiana.

As the official community-based member of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), we are positioned to be the hub of ‘citizen diplomacy’ for residents of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

WAC crafts meaningful connections between the world’s emerging leaders and their industry peers in Kentucky and Southern Indiana through engaging meetings, workshops, volunteer activities, and site visits. Beyond professional exchanges, WAC members have the opportunity to host visitors in their homes over dinner or for a 1-2 week long homestay.

International Exchange

Exchange ideas, best practices, and strengthen your professional network by meeting with international delegations as a professional resource.

Attend an Event

Join us out in Louisville for panels events, happy hours and coffee meet-ups with our visitors.

Home Hospitality

Experience the unique opportunity to welcome international guests into your home for dinner or as a longer homestay (1-2 weeks).

“ My favorite part of hosting is the sustained communication, even after visitors have left. I enjoy the cultural exchange between us, the experience for our daughter and meeting international guests and visitors.”

— Monica Lakhwani
