Support Our Mission

Invest in Lifelong Learning. Strengthen Global Understanding. Leave a Lasting Legacy.

Our Approach to Giving

At the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana, giving is more than a transaction-it is a shared commitment to curiosity, connection, and global understanding.

We believe that meaningful philanthropy is rooted in trust. When you choose to support WAC, you are investing in opportunities that bring people together through dialogue, cultural exchange, and experiences that expand perspectives and deepen engagement with the world around us.

We are committed to stewarding every contribution responsibly and transparently, ensuring your generosity is used thoughtfully to advance our mission.

We approach every gift with intention and care, recognizing the confidence our supporters place in us.

We welcome a variety of ways to give, including direct contributions, donor-advised funds, and gifts of appreciated securities, so that supporting WAC can be both meaningful and accessible.

As our community of supporters grows, so too does our vision. Together, we are not only sustaining our work—we are shaping its future.

Ways to Give

Individual Gifts

Invest in Lifelong Learning. Strengthen Global Understanding. Leave a Lasting Legacy.

For more than four decades, the World Affairs Council has connected Kentucky and Southern Indiana to the world through educational programs, citizen diplomacy, and international exchange.

Now, for the first time in our organization's history, we're launching a dedicated Individual Giving Campaign to build a stronger philanthropic foundation for the future.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 in individual giving commitments by December 31, 2027.

Every gift—whether it's $25, $250, or a multi-year leadership commitment—helps sustain the programs that strengthen global understanding in our community.

Founding Circle

The Founding Circle is a special, time-limited recognition opportunity for leadership donors during the launch of WAC's first Individual Giving Campaign.

Members of the Founding Circle are helping establish a lasting culture of individual philanthropy at the World Affairs Council. Because this recognition celebrates the launch of our first campaign, it is available only through December 31, 2027.

After the inaugural campaign concludes, new donor recognition opportunities will replace the Founding Circle.

The Global Legacy Circle

Looking beyond today? The Global Legacy Circle recognizes individuals who choose to include the World Affairs Council in their long-term plans through estate or planned giving.

By including the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana in your long-term plans, you become part of the Global Legacy Circle, recognizing individuals whose generosity ensures our mission continues for generations to come. Whether you choose to make your gift through your estate, retirement assets, or another planned giving vehicle, your commitment helps cultivate global understanding and citizen diplomacy for years to come.

Your legacy can inspire global understanding for generations to come.

Your Impact

Your Gift Matters!

When you give to the World Affairs Council, you're doing more than supporting an organization—you're investing in opportunities that connect people, broaden perspectives, and prepare future generations to engage with the world.

Your generosity helps us:

  • Expand international programming and educational opportunities

  • Foster lifelong learning and civic dialogue

  • Strengthen global engagement across Kentucky and Southern Indiana

  • Inspire the next generation of globally minded leaders

  • Build a strong philanthropic foundation for the future

As one of the earliest supporters of our inaugural Individual Giving Campaign, you're helping establish a tradition of philanthropy that will sustain our mission long after this campaign ends.

Together, we're not simply raising dollars—we're building the future of the World Affairs Council.
